Children deck restaurant halls

PUPILS from Broughton Fields School got into the Christmas spirit when they helped decorate a city restaurant.

Broughton’s Hungry Horse, which scooped the Best Restaurant award at this year’s Milton Keynes Food Awards, invited the children in to help them get ready for the Christmas rush.

The children visited last week and had the chance to meet the Hungry Horse mascot, and draw their own pictures, as well as carrying out the decorating work.

Mark Fitzsimon, general manager of the restaurant, loved the idea of getting children to decorate.

He said: “It’s always fun to get out of school for a treat.

“The kids did a great job at decorating the festive look we needed and some could argue that they did a better job then my staff members. At least it keeps them on their toes.”
