A DAD and daughter team have launched a pro-life campaign for the second consecutive year.

Andy Burton launched the 40 Days for Life MK campaign from the city branch of the global campaign, yesterday. It runs until March 24. Last year, Andy and his nine-year-old daughter Amy organised an anti abortion protest outside the abortion clinic at Acorn House, Midsummer Boulevard.

Joined by around 50 volunteers, they stood outside the clinic for 40 consecutive 24-hour days, to raise awareness about the issue. Passers-by also donated baby clothes to pass on to mothers most in need of help – these were given to LIFE House in Aylesbury and charity Helpers of God’s Precious Infants.

Mr Burton said: “40 Days For Life has in eight short years become the world’s largest coordinated pro-life organisation and I was delighted to bring it to my beloved hometown of Milton Keynes.”
