Fiery celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, wowed diners at Red Hot World Buffet & Bar in the Theatre District this weekend as he greeted surprised guests and gave a helping hand in the kitchen.

The chef look-alike, Martin Jordan, was brought in by Red Hot to launch their new Best of British menu and to encourage diners to get voting.

Over the years, the UK has named a ‘curry’ as the nation’s favourite dish, but Red Hot is bringing Brit’s taste buds back to basics in a search for the ‘Best of British.’

Restaurant Manager, Sunil Ganpati said “We were delighted to have Gordon here to launch the Best of British menu, it gave guests who dined on the evening a brilliant surprise. We hope that everyone gets voting for their favourite dish and we can’t wait to count all the votes and finally announce what the UK truly believe is the best British dish.”

In October, Red Hot World Buffet and Bar will introduce a new destination to it’s around the world dining experience with a Best of British Menu, a quintessential array of the nation’s popular dishes from ‘good ol’ Beef and Yorkshire Puddings to ‘tally ho’ Fish Pie.

For one month, customers can vote for their favourite starter, main and dessert from the following:

The Best of British will be appearing at all Red Hot restaurants in the UK and is expected to ask more than 30,000 people to vote over the month. At the end of October, the chain will reveal the nation’s favourite.

Guests will still be able to enjoy the restaurant’s popular world cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, Cajun and Italian.

unil Ganpati, Restaurant Manager at Milton Keynes said “We are really looking forward to introducing British food to our menu for the month. All our regular dishes will still be available on top of the specials.
