A NINE-YEAR-OLD city dancer has earned a place at the World Irish Dancing Championships in Boston next year.

Caitlin Harvey, from Great Brickhill, qualified in fifth at an event last week and her dance teacher, Julie Herlihy, said: “We are all totally ecstatic, we’ve never had this from a student at our school.

“She is a great kid and works so hard, she is constantly practising. But this is a big school and everyone loves her just because of how nice she is. We will all be getting behind her.”
