Joggers enjoy weekend marathon training run
Mk marathon training run
AROUND 400 runners took part in a training run for Milton Keynes Marathon at the weekend.
The joggers met near Willen Lake at 10am on Sunday before taking part in the 14-mile run, which followed part of the 26-mile route.
Race director, Andrew Hully, said: “We wanted to offer people a chance to run along part of the marathon route and to experience what it would be like to run in a crowd so that they had some idea of what to expect on race day.
“Numbers were kept relatively low, due to logistical reasons, but we were really surprised at the number of runners wanting to take part.
“Next year we plan to offer more training runs so that we can accommodate more people.”

The Milton Keynes Marathon main event will take place at stadium:mk on April 29 and over 4,000 runners have already signed up.
