Mascots Pucky and Pirate Chip celebrate Abbey Hill's Crazy Golf Course's first anniversary

MASCOTS from around Milton Keynes enjoyed a crazy day on the golf course on Sunday.

MK Dons’ Mooie, Samantha the Panther and The Hungry Horse were among those celebrating the first anniversary of Abbey Hill Golf Centre’s crazy golf course.

They were led in their fun by the centre’s own mascot, Pirate Chip.

The mascots tried their hand – and paws – on the course, with MK Lightning’s Pucky even swapping a golf club for his trademark hockey stick to put in a Happy Gilmore-esque performance.

They were joined by school children from across the city,

The golf centre in Monks Way, Two Mile Ash opened the family friendly crazy golf attraction last year - and it has proved a huge hit.

The 18 hole course is open every day from 9am to 10pm, with last entry at 8.45pm. It has proved popular among kids and adults, with obstacles such as a huge pirate ship, lakes, waterfalls, rafts, cannons and even a resident crocodile testing even the craziest golfers.

General manager Gordon Forster said: “It has been such an exciting first year.

“We expected many people to come and play, but not so many older people. The whole family really love it.”
