More city foster carers needed

A city fostering agency is urgently seeking to recruit new foster carer.

Core Assets Fostering, previously known as Foster Care Associates, is hoping its Spring 2013 campaign, will help raise awareness of the shortage of foster cares across Milton Keynes and find suitable families to look after vulnerable children.

Core Assets area manager, Sarah Dimmelow: “We are desperately looking to find more foster carers who can provide a safe and secure home environment for vulnerable children and young people. These children simply need the security of a happy and stable family unit, so that they can thrive and enjoy living in their local communities.

“Foster carers come from all walks of life and they are all hugely committed, resilient and have a good sense of humour. Fostering can be challenging but with the right support and training, it is also hugely rewarding.

“We provide carers with in-depth training and 24 hour support. All we ask is that you are over 21 years, have a spare bedroom suitable for a young person and have the determination to help make a positive and lasting difference.”

Core Assets Fostering welcomes single carer, married, cohabiting and same sex couples from all ethnicities and religious backgrounds.
