editorial image

RESIDENTS of a city nursing home will get a visit from some special actors on Friday who will be performing their nativity play.

Pupils from Chestnuts Primary School will be performing at Caton House Nursing Home in a piece written especially for the occasion by the home’s activities leader Rebecca Killman.

She also handmade the costumes and will narrate with teachers.

Rebecca said: “The youngsters from Chestnuts are regular visitors to our home and our residents’ faces light up whenever they see them.

“Christmas is such a magical time of year and there is nothing like hearing the angelic voices of children singing festive carols, so we are all really looking forward to this very special performance.”
