Lions Club of Bletchley volunteers helped raise food donations

SHOPPERS helped to collect eight trolleys worth of food for Milton Keynes Food Cupboard at Tesco, Bletchley this week.

The Lions Club of Bletchley carried out their appeal for food donations for the charity and as customers entered the store they gave them a list of suitable food items as they left their donation.

Donations ranged from several items to almost a trolley full of food. When full the trolleys were handed over to the Food Cupboard for eventual distribution to families in desperate need.

At this time of year many families struggle to feed themselves and these food parcels are most welcome.

In addition to the food, the Lions gave the charity a cheque for £500.
