Morrant Four Counties League round-up
The two sides who went into the weekend still looking for their first wins of the season were again left frustrated with Old Bradwell and Newport Pagnell playing out a draw.

Manoj Gosai (37) and Prassana Wijesinghe (34) set Old Bradwell on their way to 181 all out, Daniel Broad taking 3-34.

But Newport held on to earn a share of the spoils, making 158-9 thanks mainly to Daniel Broad (47) and Andy Holse (43) with Graham Downard returning 5-41.

There seems to be no stopping New Bradwell as they cemented their place at the top with a five-wicket success over Elstow, their seventh win in eight games.

Struggling Elstow opened with 188-9 as Paul Jackson scored an impressive 60 not out and Zaheer Kahn bowled 4-28.

But New Bradwell simply had too much for them and crossed the winning line on 189-5 thanks mainly to two fine batting efforts from Asim Hussein who made 59 and Faheem Aftab 57.

North Crawley remain third but slipped further behind the leaders when they tied their game against Cublington who stay fourth.

Richard Braybrook bowled 4-11 and Roger Sharpe 3-32 to dismiss Cublington for 168. And Crawley finished on the same score for the loss of eight wickets with Robbie Langeveldt top scoring on 35.

Second placed Eaton Bray have their sixth win in eight as Winslow Town became the latest to fall by 124 runs.

James Flecknell (81) led Bray to 218-7, supported by 50 from Lee Bearton as Callum Price claimed 3-33 and Fenton Price 3-35.

And Winslow fell way short on 94 despite the efforts of Glyn Davies (41) with Gary Ellerton (4-18) and Andy Norris (3-30) the pick of the bowlers.
