Morrant Four Counties League round-up
Milton Keynes City are starting to hit top form after they recorded their fourth win of the season to close the gap on league leaders New Bradwell.
City saw off North Crawley by two wickets after reaching their winning target of 159-8 following Crawley's opening haul of 157-8.
Robbie Langeveldt led Crawley with 34 before Chris Timms saw City home with a solid 52, despite Robin Platten bowling 3-42. The win leaves City in third, but the 30 points moves them within 33 of the leaders.
Meanwhile New Bradwell kept their unbeaten run going as they saw off nearest challengers Eaton Bray by eight wickets to claim 25 points.
Wes Hosing hit 55 for Bray who were 162 all out as Naseem Malik claimed 3-38, with good support by Zaheer Kahn (3-42).Asim Hussein (82 not out) and Temoor Alam (42) saw Bradwell home on 164-2.
Newport Pagnell are still to win a game this season but do at least show signs of improving as they took a share of the spoils against Winslow Town.
Winslow made 228-8 as Jamie Litherland wacked 90 and Callum Price 59 before Newport held on to secure their third draw of their campaign on 132-8.
Trevor Stone (31) top scored for Newport against the big bowling performances of Jamie Litherland (3-5) and Callum Price (3-23).
Old Bradwell are also without a win to their name, as their 49-run loss to Cublington was their fifth defeat this term.
Cublington were all out for 148 before Old Bradwell fell way short on 99 as Rob Sheary (4-28) was the architect of their downfall.
The other game in the top flight saw Aspley Guise (183 all out) see off Elstow (89 all out) by 94 runs.
Win keeps Willen clear at top
Division Two:
Milton Keynes continue to find points hard to come by following their five-wicket defeat to league leaders Studham.
The strugglers opened with 215 all out after a couple of fine batting displays from Martin Cross with 45 and Neil Gordon 61 as Ian Bostock returned 5-40.
But Studham earned the victory on 216-5 as Duncan Wingfield hit 69 and Chris Thorne 68 not out, Dan Ramsell taking 4-33.
Shenley Church End (140 all out) lost out to Aston Clinton (144-3) by seven wickets, Olney Town (60-2) thrashed Stewkley (59 all out) by eight wickets, while Caddington (259-6) and Biddenham (177-9) shared the points.
Division Three:
North Crawley 2nds closed the gap on leaders Cranfield to just 22 points by thrashing Turvey by nine wickets.
The bottom side fell for just 119 and Crawley did enough to reach 121-1 as Paul Mitford hit 64 and Geoff Howe 34 not out.
Cranfield's game against Stoke Hammond was rained off as was MK City 2nds' game at Eggington.
New Bradwell 2nds are third in the table after they saw off Milton Bryan by six wickets.
Bradwell reached their winning target of 226-4 after Bryan had set 223-6 to beat, Allen Bridgeman top scoring for Bradwell with 69.
Open University (221-7) had to settle for a draw against Drayton Parslow (196-5).
Division Four:
Willen (175-5) remain clear of the rest after they beat Totternhoe by five wickets. Totternhoe fell for 174 before Subhan Shafiq wacked 53 to lead Willen to 175-5 and the points.
Old Bradwell 2nds (193 all out) went down to Cublington 2nds (194-5) by five wickets.
Division Five:
Olney Town 2nds (133-1) were the big winners as they destroyed Elstow 2nds (132 all out) by nine wickets, Dave Hurley hitting 50 not out for Olney.
MK 2nds (185-8) lost to Milton Bryan 2nds (191-4) by six wickets.
Division Six:
Stony Stratford (61 all out) fell off top after losing to Totternhoe 2nds (80 all out) by 19 runs.
Great Brickhill 3rds (146 all out) lost to Crawley Green (252-4) by 106 runs, Bletchley (154 all out) lost to Aston Clinton 2nds (157-5) by five wickets and Wolverton 3rds (172 all out) lost to Winslow 2nds (176-4) by six wickets.
