CHERWELL LEAGUE - Some superb bowling from Hakim Khan combined with a fine performance with the bat by Jake Yeo guided Wolverton 1sts to a seven wicket win over Didcot at Osborne Street on Saturday.
Having removed Didcot's opener M Jones who notched up 38 runs the Khan then set to work on the visitors' lower order. From 98-3 Didcot were reduced to 133-6 as Khan took the wicket of S Pritchard for 0 and Jamil Raja saw off P Hunjan for four.

Khan took his tally to five wickets as he removed his final three batsmen for the loss of three runs and Didcot were left at 143 all out.
Yeo got Wolverton's reply off to a great start, smashing 57 before he was caught and bowled by S Burningham.

Greg Gillin (19) and Michael Baker (39 not out), together with 21 extras, steered Wolverton to the required total at 147-3.

The win kept Wolverton at the top of Divison Four.

Wolverton 2nds may not be enjoying as good a season in Division Six but that did not stop them defeating Tiddington by six wickets after the hosts had posted a target of 180-8. That was mainly due to a fine knock of 74 from W Goodman.

Wolverton started the reply slowly but Kabir Arif's 61 guided them home to 181-4.
