Who remembers Queens Court when it looked like this then back in the 1980s? And did you - like so many - jump in the fountain? For years the fountain in Queens Court was a site for impromptu unauthorised celebrations – finished your exams? Go jump in the fountain. Passed your driving test? Go jump in the fountain. Feeling full of the joys of spring? Go jump in the fountain. All these photos were taken during the 80s (except for the colour one which was taken when the City Centre first opened in autumn 1979) and show Queens Court in all its watery glory – a place to meet up with friends, chat, eat the sandwiches you'd bought in M&S and watch the world go by. And maybe take a spontaneous dip. Are you in any of the pictures or do you know anyone who is? We like putting names to faces at Living Archive MK so if you spot anyone you recognise please drop us a line at [email protected].
