Milton Keynes Storm Under 18s cruised to an 8-1 victory over
Oxford to book themselves a promotion play-off spot.
Oxford struggled to contain Storm's fast passing style and Harrison Goode finished off a good move with a goal on 1m 2s.

From the resulting face-off, Storm surged further ahead when Martin Snape fed Jamie Cox to score on 1m 45s.

Oxford pulled a goal back against the run of play before Jamie Cox's shot hit the post, with Martin Snape quickly on hand to finish at 8m 54s.

Storm completed a highly satisfactory first period with an excellent goal from Jacob Heron at 12m 9s.

In the second period the only score came from a tenacious goal by Nick Winn (21m 32s.)

The final period produced a far more polished Storm performance, with GlenTrivett (41m 49s) starting the scoring and moments later Josh Nicklin (44m 37s) smartly finished.

The hosts never surrendered, and it took a sparkling end-to-end passing move between Goode and Trivett (59m 29s), which the latter finished neatly to complete the rout.

The team then completed their regular season fixtures with the
16-0 demolition of a threadbare Streatham side – Storm now top of the league although Invicta will probably overtake them.

Storm scored in the first 13 seconds with the only disappointment being the match bans imposed on Harry Bowers and Jacob Heron.

Highlight though was man of the match Graeme Casey's first competive goal for the club.

Storm Under 14s went to Peterborough looking for two points to keep them in with a chance of finishing in the top two in the league.

And they achieved the task with a 4-3 win in a game in which both sides started brightly.

But it was Storm who ended the period 1-0 ahead when, after sustained pressure, Jordan Vincent broke the deadlock with a slashot from the blue line at 12m 29s.

Storm added one more in the second period but it was the final session that was full of incident and showed the side at their best and their worst.

Early in the period they consolidated their lead through Nathan Carmichael but then they got over ambitious and when they were caught three on one Peterborough got a goal back after 39m 5s.

Storm conceded a weak goal straight from the face off to give
Peterborough hope with a goal at 39m 14s.

The visitors steadied the ship for the next three minutes but Peterborough netted once again to tie the game.

The hosts were handed a five on three powerplay chance as Storm took penalties.

Peterborough came close on several occasions but a combination of luck and committed defending kept Peterborough out.

With the clock ticking away Storm went on a break away up the right wing. Ross Tippet took his chance well and scored with four seconds remaining.

The celebrations after the goal showed how much tension there was and the relief at scoring – not to mention the cardiac stress on the supporters!
