Storm captain Ben ends with a win

Milton Keynes Storm Under 14s captain Ben Russell played his last home game for the team when he led them to a 5-1 win against Guildford.
Russell will be leaving Storm at the end of the season to attend a hockey academy in Canada.
And Russell ended his time with Storm at Planet Ice in style, scoring the fourth goal and picking up the man of the match award.
The game itself was also a big occasion for Storm as over the years this age group of players had often faced, and lost to Guildford.
This time though the roles were reversed even although Storm had to see off an early penalty.
Following a goal-less first period the sides traded early second session goals before Storm scored twice in quick succession, with David Carson netting at 28m 28s and a deflected shot from Nathan Carmichael looping high in the air and landing a few inches from the goal-line, giving Carson an easy tap in.
The final period turned into a fierce physical battle with Guildford suffering two penalty calls to give Storm a five on three advantage.
Despite frantic defensive work Guildford could not stop Russell scoring from close to the blue line at 34m 10s. Ross Tippet then reinforced the win with the fifth goal on 41m 16sec.
