The Pad, InDIEScreet and Foundation promotions have pulled together to bring you a triple-treat of live sounds this week.
Liven up an othwise dreary Tuesday evening (well, Embarrassing Bodies is cool, but you can Sky+ it) and make tracks to The Craufurd Arms where you’ll be greeted by two of the mostly hotly tipped bands of the past 12 months.
Wolf Alice were the most blogged about band in the UK last year.
They’ll prove that the hype is worth it when they headline, ahead of the June 2 release of their new EP Creature Songs.
Brummie Britpop-esque support mob Superfood have a new EP out too, called Mam.
The NME isn’t hedging its bets, it is backing these guys for big things: ‘Best new band in the UK’ it says.
Opening the event are newbie mob GENGAHR, who share management with Alt J.
The Pad Presents has been trying to book them for a showcase show for the last couple of months, and told City Nights they are ‘thrilled to have them on what is one of the strongest support line-ups’ they’ve ever had.
Tasty things don’t have to cost the earth and tickets are just £8 in advance.
Doors at 7.30pm.

> Brendan Read loved his music – rock music, specifically, and on Saturday evening his friends and family will remember Brendan on the tenth anniversary of his passing.
A friend to many, including City Nights, Brendan’s easy going nature, wit and broad smile made him a popular staple at gigs locally.
So what better way to remember him than with a drink and some sounds at a proper music venue?
