THE SIXTH Cock & Bull Festival promises to refresh the parts that a cup of tea just can’t perk up, and thirsty beer drinkers don’t have long to wait until they taste the fizz – the bar opens at 11am prompt this Friday.
Leave the office early and the car at home and make tracks to the usual hosting station of York House in Stony Stratford.
After the colossal success of the fifth festival earlier this year, when 20 beers and 4 ciders were slurped with fury, organisers are promising even more varieties and a greater volume this time around...and all of the booze on offer will be local: Bradwell, Olney, Whittlebury and Northampton will all be represented in alcoholic terms this weekend.
If you are a fiend for cider, you’ll be able to get a sweet fix that’s been brewed in Wolverton!
Are you tied up with the dreardom of Friday spent at work with no hop(e) of escaping for a quick pint or two?
Then let Saturday be your friend when the event rolls all the way through to 11pm for the second day.
If you don’t drink booze, it’s no problem with plenty of Fairtrade juices on offer, and hot food will be served as well.
The fiddlin’ Ozarks will play live on Saturday night too.
Now get to slurpin, why don’t you?
