Banjo tango with Evie

Forget all about communication breakdowns, there’s another StonyBreakDown on the cards this Saturday night.

The third in the series is bringing American lady, and ‘Queen of the Banjo’ Evie Ladin to the town, to perform for you at York House Centre.

Evie will be joined by her partner Keith Terry for a skilled hybrid of American folk arts.

Or, to put it another way, ‘Energetic and electrifying clawhammer banjo, bass, percussive dance, storytelling songs old and new, with nuanced, emotive vocals.

‘An intimate, robust evening of acoustic music and dance...’

A fiver is a small price to pay for what promises to be one ‘eck of a lively affair.

Quick, go snap up your ticket now from Well Past It, in Timor Court, Stony Stratford.

The Juke of Stony caught a clip of Evie and Keith on Youtube and was almost gob-smacked post-view, although he did manage just the one world ‘Strewth!’

The show begins at 8pm, get more details by visiting www.yorkhouse.org.uk
