LAUGHTER is the best medicine, so open wide and take a spoonful of the Holy Concrete Cow, the latest comedy club to surface in the new city...although organisers promise not to ‘milk it’ for every laugh!
The exciting ensemble facing the audience this evening and inviting you to ‘embrace your inner cow’ are Perrier Award nominee Simon Bligh, three time Scottish Comedian of the Year nominee Ro Campbell and a man who already has plenty of gongs to his name, Mickey Sharma.
MC Jeremy O’Donell will keep things in check at the over 18s only event.
Tickets will be for sale on the doors of the Cruck Barn at the City Discovery Centre, Bradwell Abbey.
Doors open at 7pm and you can get more details by calling up MK 221009.
Granted, you will need to get a wriggle on to indulge, but you can still make it on time and don’t let the icy weather stand in your way either: It might be ‘friesian’ outside, but pop on your scarf and mittens, and head over.
The giggles will soon warm you up...
IN other ‘funny’ news from around town, The Comedy Room will settle in to its new home above Cheerleaders in the Theatre District, with a launch night on Sunday.
Colin Cole will headline the show, and he is a big name in every way, including stature – coming in at a high and mighty 6’ 7”.
The New York Times reckon he is “One of the most exciting performers to come out of Australia since Skippy.”
Presumably he comes with added bounce, too, then.
Doors open at 6.30pm and you can purchase tickets online at www.thecomedyroom.co.uk
