THERE are a few gigs to wrap your ears around in the new city in the coming days, starting tomorrow evening at The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton, with Gunslinger.
Alan Davey initially mobilised the band, all the way back at the tail-end of the seventies, before stepping into the bassist role in legendary hippy-trippy troupe Hawkwind.
And there he stayed for more than two decades.
Gunslinger, were slung, so to speak.
Until 2007, when Alan, apparently frustrated at Hawkwind’s lack of edge, quit the band and set about reforming Gunslinger...
If you get along to the venue nice and early, you’ll be able to check the support band Underground Zero too.
Tickets are a fiver in advance, a quid more on the doors.
Also tomorrow night, but across town at the SNO!bar in Xscape, Disciples of Gonzo will be promoting the recent release of their album Welcome to the DoG House...
The Buszy will open its doors tomorrow night to ‘the original masters of scratch,’ between 8pm and 2am, with live beats right the way throug, Turntablism.
On Saturday night, INDIEscreet Promotions will have live music from Sassy Judys, Rusty G’s, The Individuals and Ryker Sear, over at the SNO!bar.
Tickets are a fiver on the doors, from 7.45pm.
