The Theatre District is hosting its lights switch on this Sunday with an evening of festive fun, and a certain Bailey McConnell will be coming along to sing for you.
A terrific line-up of fab, free fun is ready to run – also starring The Shures, Scott Finley, hip-hop aces Limitless and the MCM cheerleaders who will all be taking attentions and spreading festive cheer.
In 2014 the event will be supporting MK charity The Henry Allen Trust, started in memory of the brave little boy who lost his battle with cancer at just four years old, last year.
Many of you will know Henry’s story, and this event is one of many ensuring that Henry’s memory lives on.
The charity – set up by Henry’s parents – now helps bring happiness to other children and their families who are battling cancer.
If you see a bucket, throw some coins (or crinkly pieces of paper) in and help to make a real difference to someone in need. That’s the best gift.
And if it’s fun for your little ‘uns that you seek, look no further than Keith Emmett.
The family dynasty responsible for bathing the whole city in lights with their marvellous annual monster of a firework display, have a presence here too – with free rides for kids.
Various stalls and refreshments will vie for attentions and then Henry Allen Trust patrons Bailey, MK Dons manager Karl Robinson and his wife, Ann-Marie will collectively flick the switch on the illuminations, at 6.45pm.
Oh, and we must mention the fella in the red coat with the big beard, who will be popping along too.
