Canadian country starlet Lindi Ortega issued her latest album on Monday.
Cigarettes & Truckstops is the follow-up to her acclaimed debut Little Red Boots, and marks the start of a new chapter for the lady, who uses the opus to sing about her achy breaky heart on the number Demons Don’t Get Me Down.
“I wish I had some whisky to make myself feel better. I wish I had some money, I wish I had some love.
‘So I’ll do my best to smile and I’ll pick up my guitar to cure my broken hear,’ she sings.
Lindi is a dab hand at the art of playing, actually - acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin and percussion have all been tackled successfully.
Now calling Nashville home, she also drafted in accalimed producer and T-Bone Burnett musician Colin Linden for the folk-led Americana delivery, and we have copies up grab.
To be in with a chance of winning a copy, we want to know the name of Lindi’s debut album. It’s that simple!
