MK Calling, the successful exhibition hosted at MK Gallery this summer brought plenty of new faces through the doors of the art house, and for Nancy Pullen it proved particularly fruitful.
Nancy, from Clophill, was the winner of the MK Calling Prize Draw and redeemed her prize at the weekend – taking part in a Japanese Woodblock Printmaking Workshop at Artworks MK
“I hadn’t been to MK Gallery before, but I heard about the MK Calling exhibition and visited early in the summer,” Nancy said.
“I loved it so much that I returned the day before it closed to take another look at the exhibits and bring along some friends. All the staff there were lovely; very friendly and open, and welcoming.
“I’ll definitely be visiting MK Gallery again - I’m looking forward to the Peter Dreher exhibition later this month, and hoping to see the pre-performance piece by the English National Ballet in October.”
Speaking about the workshop experience with artist Laura Boswell, she added: “
“Altogether I had a fascinating day, with some really lovely people. It’s intense because you learn a lot, and I’m tired, but I’m very grateful to MK Gallery and Artworks MK - thank you - and I’m going to book a place on Laura’s Lino Prints workshop in December. ”
