Old curiosities and new wares for sale

The MK Handmade & Vintage market returns to Middleton Hall in thecentre:mk this Friday.

If you are smart and use the event for some pre-Christmas rush shopping, you’ll alleviate bucket loads of stress otherwise incurred in the December madness...

You might read this and think ‘...but it’s only November’ and we agree, but heck Sainsbury’s have had their Mince Pies out for a few weeks now!

So, back to the vintage and handmade rummage waiting to lure you in, and it’ll happen with an abundance of cool, clever creations.

Perhaps you want an unusual antique, or maybe a piece of unique jewellery – and you get none moreso than from the silversmith who makes jewellery gems from antique silver cutlery.

Or, how about that old favourite, the vinyl record? There are two stalls specialising in the discs, and the record players to spin them on, which is helpful.

There will be odles more music memorabilia to boot. Sounds great...

Vintage dresses and headpieces will help you create a seasonal look on a tight budget...you can even get Crimbo dinner in hand, with an award-winning Christmas pudding maker flavouring up the three day event, which runs through to the end of play on Sunday.

As per usual, admission is free, and we should also say this is the last time the market will be showing out until March. It’s not quite ‘now or never’, but you’ll have a bit of a wait until it comes around again.
