Carole Matthews, the woman’s fiction novelist who calls Milton Keynes home, has scored a huge hit with her latest best-seller, A Cottage by the Sea.
The new book shot straight to the best-seller list in its first week of release and has already become a firm favourite with her legions of fans.
‘I’m really delighted to have hit the top of the bestseller list and to be rubbing shoulders with fabulous authors like Jackie Collins and John Grisham!” Carole told GO! online.
“It’s a difficult market for books, at the moment, and this makes it all worthwhile.”
Cottage by the Sea follows a group of friends, Grace, Ella and Flick, as they spend a week of love, laughter and tears in a South Wales cottage.
While Matthews has now sold nearly four million books worldwide in 31 countries, she remains a familiar figure on the local literary scene, with many of her novels set in and around Milton Keynes – even using the Milton Keynes Citizen Newspaper for inspiration for one of her successful page-turners!
