A teddy is for life, not just for Christmas, and our furry friends can take on a shabby feel after a hug too many.
Well, never fear, for in an effort to help fix Milton Keynes’ most needy cuddly toys – and at the same time raise awareness of the Soft Toys for Education campaign – the nation’s finest ‘teddy bear doctors’ will be in IKEA, Bletchley, on Friday.
IKEA’s campaign is now in its tenth year and has raised over 57 million Euros to help children across the world get a better education, supporting the work of Save the Children and UNICEF.
Many teds have been through the wars and are in need of a check-up so skilful soft-toy surgeons Julie and Amanda will be armed with a mini-medical kit and prepared for all sorts of injuries.
Cuddly companions requiring some much-needed TLC are invited to visit the store between 10am and 4pm.
Every family that has a teddy treated is being asked to purchase a soft toy from IKEA to contribute towards the campaign, with prices starting from just £1.
