Every Icarus Line album has been made as if it’s their last – as uncompromising as it is musically suss, and noisy.
The Los Angeles rabble with former Keynes boy Ben Hallett keeping beat behind the kit, were awesome the last time they wowed a subdued Craufurd Arms, and on Wednesday night they’ll do it all over again, back to promote current album Slave Vows.
‘It is what it is: a passionate, purposeful and wonderfully presented collection of combustive rock sounds’ decided Clash magazine after getting an earful.
Also combustive, and ready to rock this Wednesday night will be Our Man in the Bronze Age, taking time out from recording and writing their new opus to fill the support slot. It’ll be a tasty night of the alternative.
Tickets are £7, doors at 7.30pm.
