When Beatcheck promotions announced a date by Howard Marks, tickets sold out in a week.
A second date to see the man, once the UKs most wanted, described as ‘the most sophisticated drugs baron of all time’, swiftly went on sale, and this week the shows go live at The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton.
Scholar, Smuggler, Prisoner, Scribe is a chance to listen to Howard’s incredible stories, and hear them straight from the horse’s mouth.
In his days as a smuggler, Marks would shift shipments of up to 30 tons of dope, and had connections with the FBI, CIA, MI5 and IRA.
He’ll tell his stories his way, with brutal honesty and more than a smidgen of humour, and if you think you’ve heard it all before, you are mistaken.
‘Mr Nice’ has plenty more moments to pick over for your entertainment.
Tickets for Friday’s show, as we said, are all sold out, but try for Thursday’s date instead.
Tickets are thin on the ground, at £15. Go on-line for yours right away at www.beatcheck.co.uk/events
