ARE you looking to meet the four-legged love of your life?
Do you wish you had a moggie to go home to after a day at the office – a puddy-tat who looks forward to your arrival and helps to banish those 9 to 5 stresses?
Then let us suggest Speed Dating, the RSPCA way!
This Valentine’s weekend, the Milton Keynes & North Bucks branch of the animal charity is hosting its sixth annual speed dating event to help match you to the perfect puss.
The volunteer hosted sessions – held in Newport Pagnell, are a fun way to make a connection with your ideal feline, hence romantic music and subdued lighting will be in play.
It’s a serious event, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be a little fun to furry things along!
Perhaps you can’t commit the levels of companionship necessary for a happy cat.
You can still do your bit: The centre has some feral cats looking for safe homes too.
So long as they have access to shelter and regular feeding, they will thrive and won’t have the need for human contact.
These puddy-tats are best suited to farms and small holdings.
If you find your perfect pal, you will be asked for a donation of £55 per cat – this helps the charity cover its hefty running costs, and we should say every adult cat at the RSPCA is neutered, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms before they are handed over.
“We work hard all year round to care for and re-home animals in the local area, and we hope that this unusual approach will result in many of our cats going to warm, loving homes,” said Cattery co-ordinator Sue Taft.
