The Wolverton Lantern Festival is a tradition that has been illuminating the town annually for the past quarter century, and they will celebrate the Silver Anniversary in style this Saturday, with a full extravaganze from 2pm, in The Square.

Stilt walkers, a fire show, children’s entertainment, face-painting, live music (see over the page for the full music listing), a street market and food to go will keep you busy before the parade begins at 4.30pm.

The Wolverton Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Rock Chorus and Town Band are all signed up.

“We have more lanterns, more music and more food than ever before planned,” organisers promise.
