Wolverton Town Band may be on the hunt for new members, but has enough enthusiastic players to make a triumphant noise - as they proved with a set at the town’s Secret Garden recently.
Hundreds of people attended the event, happy to picnic in the sun and soak in the traditional sounds in the community garden.
The Secret Garden occupies a site that once boasted four houses, built in the 1840s by the London & Birmingham Railway Company.
In the 1960s the homes were demolished and neglect took over - until the community garden came into play.
Wolverton Town Band is interested in hearing from anyone who would like to play a brass instrument - whether a learner or an experienced player.
The company was established more than 100 years ago and is keen to keep the brass band tradition alive in the town.
