New City Heating Sunday League round-up
The first ever Bill Johnson Trophy final ended in a comprehensive victory for Premier League high flyers Fishermead Doyles.

Despite a plucky effort from mid-table Division Two side Boca Shenley, Doyles eventually ran out 7-1 victors.

Boca, who are in their first season, took a surprise lead from the penalty spot in the opening minutes and gave a good account of themselves throughout in a match that was a credit to the league.

However, Doyles' superior strength proved too much for the underdogs who conceded four second half goals.

Man of the match was Doyles' hat-trick hero Dom Lawless but the goal of the match was scored from the head of Nick Hughes.

Former league chairman Bill Johnson made the journey from Great Yarmouth to present the medals and trophy and thanks go to Scot Sports and Social Club for staging the final.

New clubs wishing to join the league will shortly be interviewed and any new clubs interested in joining should please contact Yvonne McCormack on 07778 443 336.
