Winslow foiled after taking 3-0 lead
Stony Stratford staged a superb fightback in Tuesday night's South Midlands League Division One clash at Winslow United, forcing a 3-3 draw after being 3-0 down at half time.
Winslow struck in the 26th and 43rd minutes to lead 2-0 and they added a third goal deep in injury time.
But the young Stony side showed plenty of character in the second half with Matt Fraser reducing the gap from the penalty spot after 53 minutes following a foul on Shaun Carr. Ricky Foster then made it 3-2 after 70 minutes before Dan Walker grabbed an 83rd-minute equaliser.
Saturday sees Stony at home to UCL Division Two side Olney Town in the second round of the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup, kick off 3pm.

The hosts took a 19th-minute lead through Danny Nichols but St Ives hit back with a 30th-minute equaliser.
Vinnie Shrieves restored Newport's lead shortly before half time but St Ives hit back with a second half equaliser after 70 minutes.
Newport are back on home soil for Saturday's league clash with second-placed S&L Corby (3pm).

The only goal of the game came from Andre Brown in first-half injury time, Mursley facing a second round home tie against Caddington. Saturday sees Mursley at home to Grendon Rangers in the B&B Intermediate Cup, 1.30 pm.
