Dons sell record number of season tickets
Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo may still have a lot of rebuilding to do before the new League One season kicks-off on August 8, but that hasn't stopped the club's fans snapping up season tickets at a record rate.

Around 5,750 season tickets at stadium:mk have been bought to date – that's 15 per cent up on this time last year when around 5,000 fans had pledged their support.

And there's still more than five weeks to go before Dons open their new campaign at home to Hartlepool on August 8.

Just two points stood between Dons and a second successive promotion last season, meaning that fans' expectations are likely to go up a level as Di Matteo and the team hope to go one better this time around and claim a place in the Championship.

But despite narrowly missing out on a play-off final place after losing on penalties to Scunthorpe United in May, the Dons boss has decided to ring the changes with the squad currently 16 deep – including three teenagers.

Crewe full-back Danny Woodards became Dons' first new addition this summer and striker Jabo Ibehre agreed a switch from Walsall three days later.

And Wycombe defender David McCracken was the third new man to agree terms at stadium:mk, with all three joining on free transfers.
