His side only wrapped up the League Two title last week at Bradford, but already The Guv'nor says he has began making plans for life in League One, and already has targets in mind to strengthen the squad.

He said: "As soon as I knew we were getting promoted I had to start getting in there before other people do.

"We have five or six targets that we are looking at for next season.

"We have to let people go too, but that's way things go, people go in and out.

"We've got to keep improving and growing as a club."

But Ince admits he faces some tough decisions as to who will be the unlucky players searching for a new club next season.

"It's hard because when you've just won the league and cup double it's hard to say which players aren't good enough to go into the next league. But that happens at all levels.

"There are players who are out of contract and players who have a year left that are not guaranteed to stay at the club and have to keep their standards up and impress me."

And what is making it harder for those on the fringes is players are now wanting to come and play for the Dons.

Ince added: "What we have done this year is become an attractive club for players. They want to come and play for us and I've been on the phone constantly to agents who are saying to me 'he wants to come here, so and so wants to play for you'.

"But it's a great position to be in and shows the success we've had."
