MARK Hughes will barely have finished unpacking his desk at Ewood Park, yet already MK Dons boss Paul Ince is being linked with a move to the Premier League.
As has become the case with any high-profile job, no sooner had the former Wales manager decided to swap Blackburn for Manchester City than Ince's name was being touted as a possible replacement.

While most bookmakers have former Newcastle boss Sa
m Allardyce as favourite for the job, some are offering prices as short as 10/1 that former Manchester United and England midfielder Ince will be offered the Ewood Park hot seat.

Of course, this isn't the first time Ince has has been linked with a move away from stadium:mk. Previous vacancies at Derby, Leicester, Coventry, and Southampton have all gone by with Ince's name being suggested.

But unlike most of those, this particular link with Blackburn may actually hold some water, particularly when you consider their last appointment.

Hughes took over at Rovers in 2004 with no experience in club management but, like Ince, had a reputation as one of the game's hottest prospects.

And the location is likely to interest Ince, who stills lives in the north west of England.

But with the likes of Steve McClaren and Alan Shearer also among the favourites, Dons chairman Pete Winkelman should be able to sleep easy for the time being.
