Mark Lancaster says new green settlements are 'a farce'
North East Milton Keynes MP Mark Lancaster says he is disappointed over Labour u-turns he claims have 'watered-down' the green credentials of eco-towns and which ignore views of local communities.

A mini-town has been mooted for Marston Vale, just outside his constituency.

"The Government has taken the eco out of eco-towns by forcing them onto environmentally unviable sites, ignoring local opinions and back tracking on how many they will build.

"I cannot and will not support something that is clearly a farce and I have particular concerns over the potential knock-on effect for infrastructure funding for Milton Keynes," he said.
