500 new jobs boost to city

River Island given go-ahead for new warehouse
A 500-jobs shot in the arm is helping lift economic gloom over the city this week.

Milton Keynes Partnership (MKP) says the boost will come with the go-ahead to River Island to open a massive warehouse at Magna Park.

The building of the new facility would also generate £3 million of infrastructure funding, it said.

MKP chief executive John Lewis said development by top-notch businesses would help maintain job growth and continue the demand for housing.
