Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained severe facial injuries following an assault at the Buddha Blue Nightclub on Sunday (June 29).
The 18-year-old man, from Northampton, was inside the nightclub on the ground floor at approxima
tely 2.40am when he was struck in the face with either a glass or a bottle.
He was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury where he is expected to undergo surgery to his face and left eye.
Police would like to speak with two men in connection with the incident. The first is a light-skinned black man, average build wearing a light or white top. The second man is black, tall and wore a bandanna.
Det Con Wayne Watson, leading the investigation, said: "The club was at capacity at the time of the assault so we are sure that people must have seen what happened.
"This was a vicious attack and the victim has been told by doctors he may not regain sight in his left eye. Not only has he sustained severe injuries he has been left traumatised by what has happened.
"I would urge anyone in the club at that time who may have seen the assault take place to contact the police. The person who did this is clearly dangerous and must be stopped from doing it again."
Anyone with information about the incident can contact Det Con Watson at Milton Keynes police station via the 24-hour non-emergency number, 0845 8 505 505.
