Quick response saves house from fire

The crews were called to the property on Whaddon High Street at 9.38pm on Saturday, where they extinguished a fire in the roof and chimney flue.

A source told The Citizen there were no injuries and it appeared the blaze was spotted early, dealt with quickly and didn't spread.
