Exclusive video: virtual tour of newly refurbished Oceana
The 'coolest place in town is set to get hotter' – or should that be cooler – with Oceana, and its £2million makeover, opening its doors to the eager public tonight (Friday August 22).
There's definitely a sub-zero theme going on in the newly refurbished club, with the former Ice House and Ski Lodge now converted to a 1,000-capacity Reykjavik Ice House.
The glacial glamour of the room's stark white interior, white leather seating and 360-degree video projection extends itself into the VIP areas, one of which was named the 'Arctic Suite' by Citizen competition winner Louise Cochran of New Bradwell (pictured).
To turn up the heat, the newly revamped Parisian 'Boudoir' with its seductive styling will send temperatures rising, while the new sultry Cuban room gives lively Latino spirit to the former downstairs bar - now called the 'Rhythm Room'.
And all of this is merely the tip of the Oceana iceberg.
General manager Mark Molton said: "A lot of the features in the refurbishment have been created in response to customer feedback.
"Customers often request reserved seated areas – we will have nine booths available for reservation in the Ice House.
"Our VIPs and WAGs requested their own bar – we have designed a stunning and exclusive VIP bar.
"Our customers wanted to see more live personal appearances – so a stage area has been included in the design.
"Even the new downstairs bar has been created to give our smokers a room to party and comfortably pop out to have a cigarette."
>> Doors to the new Oceana open at 8pm tonight.
