A PARENT and toddler group is facing closure after more than 20 years of serving the community.

And it really is crunch time for Great Linford Parent & Toddler Group. For their Pre-school Learning Alliance membership expires this Friday, and they must decide whether to continue the group by then.

Chair Jo Bainton is now desperate to save it from extinction.

She said: "The group's existence is entirely dependent on the willingness of parents and childminders to run it. And that, combined with the relatively low attendance, means we are facing something of a crisis.

"It's such a lovely, friendly group and has been running from Great Linford Memorial Hall for more than 20 years. What makes it so special is we have a lovely, enclosed, outdoor space, a really healthy policy on food and snacks, and we run through the school holidays when older siblings are also welcomed."

The group meets on Friday mornings from 10am to 11.45am and the first session is free.

Anyone who may be interested in getting involved should call Jo on MK 318666 or 07941 84825.
