Jury returns guilty verdict within one hour: Jason Burrows to serve life imprisonment
Jason Burrows, 34, of Milton Road, Broughton was today (03/07) found guilty of murdering Gemma Sisley and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The jury took just one hour before returning their guilty verdict at Luton Crown Court. He will serve a minimum of 15 years.

Gemma was murdered at his home on Wednesday 15 October 2009.

Acting Det Insp Tony Collingwood was at court for the verdict.

"Obviously we are delighted that the jury have found Mr Burrows guilty. This callous act destroyed the life of a young woman and has left her family and friends devastated," he said.

"Our thoughts and sympathy at this time are with the family of Gemma who have shown considerable strength and courage throughout this entire harrowing experience."
