IN scenes some thought would never happen, the city's own football team celebrated winning its first ever league title in front of a record crowd of 17,250.

There were jubilant scenes at a packed stadium:mk as the MK Dons lifted the League Two title after their draw with Morecambe on Saturday.

In what has been a memorable season, with the team also winning the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley, the packed crowd paid tribute to their heroes.

The 17,250 crowd was the biggest seen in League Two this season and shows just how popular the club has become since its move to the city.
