Fundraisers raise cash for Brads Cancer Foundation
A GROUP of VW drivers from the area raised more than £100 for Brads Cancer Foundation in a very roundabout fashion.
The Roundabout VW Club took part in the Koolest Kraze Scatter Hunt at the weekend, and included members from VW clubs in Northampton, Kettering, Dunstable and the surrounding areas.
The aim was to have some good family fun while also raising money for a good cause.
There was no prescribed route for people to follow, they just had to visit six of the 10 locations listed and answer clues when they were there.
The Roundabout VW Club is a friendly, informal club for all fans of air-cooled VW cars.
Member Marc Little, said: "I really enjoyed the day out and about in MK.
"We managed to see things that we didn't even know existed, like the Roman ruins and the little chapel at Bradwell Abbey. It was quite educational as well as a fun day. I can't wait until next year's competition."
Some of the original members are still in the club now and took part in the hunt yesterday along with over 100 other enthusiasts of all ages. Vehicles ranged from stock daily drivers to multi-award winning show cars.
The group now meet on the first Sunday of every month at The Barley Mow in Cosgrove and despite being an Aircooled VW Club they welcome all.
