Actor helping raise cash for Fringe debut

Now Stephanie Watkins, who comes from Milton Keynes, and the rest of the team behind the show are fundraising hard to cover the £7,000 costs of putting on the show.

The Miserables is a parody of the long-running West End hit Les Miserables – set in an office. Instead of rioting French revolutionaries, the story follows two unhappy administrators and their workaholic boss.

In their fundraising efforts, the team are targeting all those who hate their jobs. People can get anonymous revenge on their workplace by contributing items to be part of the ‘worst office in the world’ set, or even have one of the show’s characters named after their own boss.

Writer and director Nicola Masters said: “We hope to be able to raise this money to ensure that we’re able to put on the best production we possibly can, and to give people the chance to contribute in a totally unique way.”

The show will be at Just The Tonic at The Caves, with previews being held at the Etcetera Theatre in London on July 25 and 26.
