One of SNO!zone’s longest serving team members – who’s also one of it’s oldest - is celebrating 10 years with the Milton Keynes snow slope.

72-year-old Alan Pounds has volunteered as a rental technician for the last 10 years at SNO!zone. Alan, who is a very keen skier, started out the role to keep him youthful and allow him time to teach his grandchildren how to ski.

SNO!zone managing director, Regis Mosseron presented Alan with an award at the Milton Keynes slope last month.

“Alan is one of the most popular members of the team at SNO!zone and I don’t think any of us can imagine working here without him ,” said Regis. “His hard work over the years is always noticed and appreciated and I hope Alan knows just how much we value him.”

Alan added: “I have loved every minute of working at SNO!zone over the last 10 years. I have always loved skiing so to be able to work in my retirement at an indoor ski slope is really satisfying .”

“It was a wonderful surprise to receive this award and I would like to thank my SNO!zone colleagues for their friendship and support over the years.”
