All signs lead to University news App

A NEW mobile phone App has been launched by the Open University to help students keep abreast of the latest news from the campus.

The App is designed to pool several areas of news and marks the first time the OU has devised such an App for both iOS and Android devices.

It follows the successful launch of popular Apps such as Photofit Me and Devolve Me.

Designed along similar lines to the BBC’s version, the App gives a one-stop-shop for access to the OU news via press releases, the student news site Platform, YouTube, Twitter accounts, Facebook and the student Forum site. It will mean anyone, including non students wanting to learn about research or news or just keep up with discussions via their phone or iPad, will have a much easier route in, wherever they are in the world.
