A COUPLE celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in almost identical fashion as they did 50 years ago – including the snowy conditions.
Brian and Angela Budd, of Stony Stratford, married on January 19, 1963 at 2.30pm and on Saturday at the same time, exactly 50 years later, they renewed their vows. Their daughter, Louise Shannon, made a replica of their wedding cake for the occasion.
She said: “It was a fabulous day, we had family come from as far as Cornwall despite the weather. It was nice to see their faces, mum was really chuffed.”
Angela, speaking about the secrets of a happy marriage, said: “It’s give and take and both doing what we’re told. Our three children Louise, Caron and Johnathan were a credit to us on the day.”
