THE director of an anti-bullying movie, which premiered on Friday, has spoken of his delight after seeing the film on the big screen.
Frank Scarito directed Once upon a Life, a movie that took him around five years – on and off – to complete and included pupils from Bishop Parker school in Bletchley and Cedars School in Newport Pagnell.
The premiere was held at Walton High School last Friday and attracted hundreds of guests. The pupils who starred in the film were guests of honour and had the first few rows reserved for them.
They were treated to a number of live performances before the film was shown.
Frank said: “The premiere went really, really well and we’ve had lots of feedback with a lot asking how a low budget film came across so well.”
The story focuses on a young boy who tracks down and confronts his bully.
The film was created by Frank through Bletchley based Luca Design, and he admitted he suffered at the hands of a bully when he was at primary school.
Frank said: “The ultimate reward is seeing people afterwards who may have been helped by the film in some way. Meeting those people who say that they have had a positive outlook after seeing it.”
